HBO confirms 'True Detective' cast: Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell in season 2

TV Show News: It’s finally official: Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn will star in the second season of HBO’s acclaimed crime drama True Detective.

HBO also released the first official logline for the new season: “Three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.”

Furthermore, HBO confirmed the second season will be eight episodes and shoot in California. Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious franchise) is now confirmed to direct the first two episodes of the new season.
