BREAKING: US TV Season Rich in Mystery and Horror

TV Show News, As American TV viewers await the Emmy Awards honoring last year's programs, the new season opened this summer and it is rich in stars, horror and mystery, AFP reports.

The glitzy names being served up include the likes of Steven Soderbergh, Clive Owen, Guillermo del Toro, Liv Tyler and Halle Berry.

One program, "The Strain," co-written and co-produced by del Toro, explores a theme already addressed by vampire series such as "True Blood" or zombies in "Walking Dead," but through the prism of horror flicks.

It follows one Ephraim Goodweather, a disease control center head (played by Corey Stoll, one of the main actors in the first season of "House of Cards"), in his family dealings and as he faces an epidemic that turns people into zombie-vampires.

The fast-paced show has aired on FX since July 13 and received good reviews from critics.

"The Big Bang Theory" will not return to CBS until the fall, but star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting offered a hint at what is in store for season eight recently.

The actress and her character on "The Big Bang Theory" Penny are both known for their long blonde hair. However, Cuoco-Sweeting recently chopped her hair into a short pixie cut, leaving fans wondering how the change will be incorporated onto the comedy series.

"The producers loved it," Cuoco-Sweeting revealed, according to TVLine.

True Bloods Finally – The Wacky and Sexy

True Blood’s final season has arrived and they’ve name it to be “Wacky and Sexy Final season”. Anna Paquin whose role is Sookei posed “nude” for Entertainment Weekly’s cover together with her husband and the TV Shows director, Stephen Moyer.

True Blood is one of HBO’s produced TV Series is not about to enter its final stages of shooting. The TV shows final will air soon and True bloods avid fan are waiting for that final grasp of thrill in response to the script on screen. It’s been seven seasons and with the last one about to begin now the relationship between Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) will be explored in depth.

The show has taken tangents into other territory such as witchcraft, lycanthropy and “sexcapades”. With an audience of 11.4 million viewers, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer portray two very sensitive and capable characters. A bond developed between them while filming the series. They tied the knot there is no untying. Finally, they had twins and are a happy family now.

James Franco New Movie: Child of God is 'very dark

In Movie News, another exceptional actor is taking a shift of roles.

James Franco, whose known best on his role in Spider man movie as Harry Osborn, revealed his upcoming film 'Child of God' is a lot darker than the 2007 film 'No Country for Old Men', which also has a very dark theme.

James first achieved his worldwide fame and attention back in 2002 when he stared in Spider Man Movie and later carried several of serious movies character. In the movie news, nothing gets better than being different.

James Franco says 'Child of God' is ''ten times darker'' than 'No Country for Old Men'.

The '127 Hours' actor stars in and directs the upcoming film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel of the same name and he's revealed audiences will be shocked to find the film has an even darker theme than the 2007 movie, also based on a novel written by McCarthy.

The 36-year-old star is a son of Betsy Lou, also a writer and occasional actress - now has numerous credits as an actor, director and producer to his name which parents are- claims he doesn't have an overly dark personality but likes to take on a diverse range of roles.

On a Quizzed interviewed at with Kelly and Michael,Franco was asked whether he's a dark person, yet answered ''Sometimes. I mean, obviously I do comedies and stuff like that, but it's nice to have a little darkness in there every once in a while. Not that I'm an unhappy guy or sit in my house brooding or anything.''
