'Painfully Awkward' Rob Lowe Commercial Under Fire From Shy Bladder Support Group

TV Show News:DirecTV's new commercials featuring Rob Lowe alongside bizarre alternate versions of himself are being attacked by an organization that claims one of the ads is mocking a serious health problem.

The spot above centers around "Painfully Awkward Rob Lowe," a fanny-pack wearing version of the actor who says he can't "go" with other people around. But the International Paruresis Association says shy bladder is a real phobia, not something to mock.

"We don't mind if people have a little fun with it," Steve Soifer, the organization's CEO, told The Associated Press. "It's a situation that a lot of people don't understand. In this particular case, the portrayal is making it look ridiculous, that this guy is a loser for having a problem."

The organization says 21 million Americans suffer from the condition, which is more formally known as avoidant paruresis.

"Often referred to as Pee-Shy, Shy-Bladder, Bashful Bladder, etc., avoidant paruresis is nothing to be ashamed of," the group says on its website.

Soifer is calling on DirecTV to pull the plug on the commercials, but the provider was pretty direct with its response.

“The ads will continue to run for the vast majority of viewers who have told us they enjoy the spots and understand that, like all of our commercials, they take place in a fantasy world and are not based in reality,” DirecTV spokesman Darris Gringeri told AP.

Leaked 'Game Of Thrones' Season 5 Video Reveals Another (Spoiler!) Brutal Wedding Scene

(Major spoilers for "Game of Thrones" Season 5 and from the books follow. You have been warned!)

The first set of photos appeared to be from the Meereenese storyline from Season 5 and stirred up speculation over Tyrion's storyline in the upcoming season. As Vanity Fair reported, the photos revealed that Tyrion would be meeting up with Dany much sooner than anticipated in the series.

The second group of photos showed Dany, Jorah, Daario and Missendei in Daznak’s Pit, the biggest fighting pits in Meereen, which reopen to celebrate Dany's wedding to Hizdahr zo Loraq (yup, she gets married again). These photos likely allude to a big sequence from the books, when Dany's unrestrained and previously escaped dragon Drogon (the one who burned all the livestock last season) returns to kill a bunch of Unsullied warriors and leave with Dany on his back.

Now, we have video footage of Drogon breathing fire on a group of Unsullied (sans the actual CG dragon), thanks to Spanish "GoT" fan site, Los Siete Reinos. It's a pretty awesome shot, and it even transitions to slow-motion to show the stuntmen battling the flames. HBO confirms 'True Detective' cast: Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell in season 2

TV Show News: It’s finally official: Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn will star in the second season of HBO’s acclaimed crime drama True Detective.

Broadway star Kelli O'Hara joins NBC's Peter Pan Live!

TV Show News: The Broadway star Kelli O'Hara is the latest star to join NBC's Peter Pan Live!.

A revamped version of the 1954 stage musical is airing on the Peacock Network later this year, with Allison Williams portraying Peter Pan.

O'Hara will be playing Mrs Darling, the quirky matriarch of a group of siblings spirited away to Neverland.

The actress has earned five Tony Award nominations for her work on the Broadway stage in The Light in the Piazza and South Pacific, among others.

NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt said of O'Hara's casting: "Kelli O'Hara is Broadway royalty, a musical star at the top of her game. She will be perfect as the regal mother of the Darling children, and we look forward to her rendition of the beautiful lullaby 'Tender Shepherd'."

The Story of Frozen: Making A Disney Animated Classic, TV Show News!

First, let's get the caveats out of the way. Of course this behind-the-scenes salute is little more than a commercial for the ever-expanding Frozen merchandise universe (which now extends to ABC's use of the movie to boost Once Upon the Time) and Disney's next big animated project, Big Hero 6, which will get a sneak preview during the special. And yes, it's ludicrous of ABC to promote the special as "exclusive" — as if Disney were going to promote itself on anything other than the network it owns. But hey, Frozen was a great movie, and if your kids loved it, as many did, odds are good they'll love this special as well.

TV's most popular drama repeats the two-part special that served as a pilot for fall's NCIS: New Orleans. It's not the most exciting idea you've ever heard, and not exactly the kind of stretch or ambition you'd like to see from TV's top-rated network. But if we must have a spinoff, and apparently we must, be happy that this one at least offers a weekly chance to see Scott Bakula and CCH Pounder in New Orleans.

These two popular cable series complete their summer runs. Allow those who will miss them to watch in peace.

BREAKING: US TV Season Rich in Mystery and Horror

TV Show News, As American TV viewers await the Emmy Awards honoring last year's programs, the new season opened this summer and it is rich in stars, horror and mystery, AFP reports.

The glitzy names being served up include the likes of Steven Soderbergh, Clive Owen, Guillermo del Toro, Liv Tyler and Halle Berry.

One program, "The Strain," co-written and co-produced by del Toro, explores a theme already addressed by vampire series such as "True Blood" or zombies in "Walking Dead," but through the prism of horror flicks.

It follows one Ephraim Goodweather, a disease control center head (played by Corey Stoll, one of the main actors in the first season of "House of Cards"), in his family dealings and as he faces an epidemic that turns people into zombie-vampires.

The fast-paced show has aired on FX since July 13 and received good reviews from critics.
